Developing Games With HTML5

I’ve just bought the book that hopefully will get me up to speed with game development in HTML5:

As I am completely new to game development, I feel quite daunted by the challenge ahead. My goal, having read the book, is to be able to develop a simple blackjack game that will run on a PC and/or a mobile device. I have a pretty good knowledge of HTML4.x, CSS and a working knowledge of JavaScript, so I’m not starting from scratch from that point of view, but I have never developed a game in any language.
